Circuit Card Assembly Specialist

(U.S. Citizenship Required*)

Huntsville, AL



  • Perform all Circuit Card production assembly operations on electronic/electrical and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies as an individual or as a member of a cross-functional, high performance work team. Includes CCA assembly, integration and test from detail fabrication, buildup of assemblies & subassemblies, through final integration.
  • Rework (simple) and modify circuit card parts and assemblies per requirements.
  • Perform periodic operator maintenance on machines and tooling and machine set up tasks to prepare machines for circuit card production activity following provided machine inspection checklists.

  • Document results in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Collect and input data for statistical process control analysis.
  • Meet Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) customer satisfaction requirements for quality, performance and reliability.
  • Perform CCA functional checkouts and system testing of electrical, electronic, mechanical systems and ground support equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, fault isolate and document CCA nonconformances to correct deficiencies down to component level, with minimal technical support.
  • Perform, as required, CCA rework, modification, repairs and changes per CCA technical documentation and formal direction to electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
  • Assist defining, implementing, completing and monitoring the execution of the work scope.
  • Recommend refinements to CCA equipment and integration processes by conducting studies and evaluations that result in product and process improvements.
  • Analyze CCA product, processes, test data, and rejection history to identify root cause for problems and assist with developing corrective action. May be required to obtain a security clearance, per specified program requirements.
  • Training in Huntsville for 30 days, followed by 90 days OJT in El Paso
  • Extended travel to/from Huntsville, AL to El Paso, TX


  • Candidates must be able to work all 3 shifts
  • Persons will undergo approximately 2 1/2 weeks of training in Huntsville prior to deployment to El Paso. OJT period in El Paso is a minimum of 90 days.
  • Ability to obtain J-STD-001 solder certification.
  • Possess technical skills necessary to perform CCA work using detail work instructions & other released planning documentation and a variety of other supporting technical documentation as required including: CCA technical drawings, 2D & 3D models, schematics, circuit/wiring diagrams, process and equipment specifications, photographs, illustrations and sketches.

*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.


Education and Experience

  • Work related skills equivalent to 3 years of circuit card related technical experience or a 2-year degree in electronics, mechanical or other technical discipline (or a minimum successful completion of all electronic courses contained with a 2-year electronics technical degree curriculum).
