Our client, North American’s leading manufacturer of Heavy-Duty Transit buses in the U.S. and Canada, is looking to find the right talent for a new position:


Design Engineer III

Anniston AL



Completes complex design tasks, Bill of Material releases, and projects from concept to implementation in production. This includes all related design activities, calculations, communications, drawings and Engineering Change Notification (ECNs).


  • Completes design tasks and project assignments which support production activities.
  • Coordinates own tasks to ensure schedule and dates are met considering vendor and production lead times. Includes maintaining task status and recording time on each task.
  • Creates designs that meet customer specifications, Technical Summaries, other contracts documents and ensure designs are within manufacturing abilities.
  • Ensures compliance with design criteria and all applicable regulations.
  • Completes or initiates controlled testing of components and installations in order to meet contractual obligations, ensure product reliability and verify component fit.
  • Completes technical drawings and release documents in accordance with Engineering procedures and ENAs (Notices of Action).
  • Provides Engineering support to Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service Support, and other departments as required.
  • Interacts with vendors and customers on design related issues. Ensures that, where applicable, there are documents of vendor approval on new installations or applications.
  • Checks Engineering Documents & ECNs


  • Strong CAD/ Unigraphics, Drafting.
  • Strong team work, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently.


Education and Experience:

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred with 5-10 yrs. experience
