    Systems Engineering Support Analyst 3

    Responsibilities

    • Research, analyze, and compile technical data for company products and system-level concepts in the projected operational environments to optimize effectiveness over the program lifecycle.
    • Apply systems engineering processes, methodologies and tools to optimize, through automation, report development and tool integration, the execution of Systems Engineering processes.
    • Assist integrating technical, cost, value, risks and specialty engineering considerations into definition of the product.
    • Interface with other members of the project or program teams, management, sales and marketing staff, customers and suppliers to meet group, organization and company objectives.
    • Perform technical planning and control; maintain and improve processes and software tools.
    • Train and instruct others. Work under general direction.

    Qualifications

    • Able to:
      • Develop Excel macros to consolidate data from multiple databases to generate reports to inform decisions.
      • Develop templates in tools such as Rational Publishing Engine (Use of JavaScript) to automate release of engineering specifications, interface control drawings, system description documents
      • Code or learn to code in DXL to integrate requirements and interface data in DOORS
    • Preferred – Familiar with DOORS, Rhapsody, Rational Publishing Engine, and Mentor Graphics Capital.

    Education and Experience

    • Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree with typically 3 or more years’ or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
