    Sr. Engineering Vehicle Application Developer

     (U.S. Citizenship Required*)

    Sterling Heights, MI



    Join a dynamic group of software engineers responsible for the development and support of embedded application software for a family of ground vehicles. You will participate in activities covering the entire software development life-cycle, from requirements development to final testing and delivery.


    • Perform software requirements analysis.
    • Develop software preliminary and detail design using software design tools as specified by department standards.
    • Develop code to implement software design, code development shall conform to department standards and procedures.
    • Develop test procedures and perform unit/functional test on the executable software.
    • Perform hardware/software integration.
    • Develop and maintain software in accordance with project and department processes.
    • Prepare status reports for management and support design/code reviews.
    • Interface with other departments and business units.


    • Background in Ada or C/C++ desired.
    • Experience in configuring Linux/Unix operating systems desired.
    • Experience with bootloaders (e.g. grub) desired.
    • Linux, Unix and PC experience.
    • 50% office environment, 50% lab environment.

    *U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.


    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in computer or software engineering or a related technical field.
    • 5-7 years’ applicable engineering experience.
