    Sr Mechanical Engineer

    Responsibilities

    • Write procurement specification for a hydraulic manifold with imbedded thermostat controls for the hydraulic system.
    • Work with the engine vendor to assure all hydraulic circuits meet required performance specifications over the variety of operational scenarios.
    • Develop sub-system/component level requirements and design concepts.
    • Design, select, integrate components
    • Source select and interface with suppliers
    • Perform engineering analysis to evaluate sub-system/component designs.
    • Work with design services to create/release detailed models and drawings.
    • Support concurrent engineering, procurement and prototype build/integration activities.
    • Perform preliminary design and analysis
    • Troubleshoot vehicle subsystems; perform failure analysis
    • Write technical reports & modification instructions
    • Work in an Integrated Product Team environment and be able to communicate across functional organizations

    Qualifications

    • Mechanical background with hydraulic power and control experience.
    • Highly motivated self-starter
    • Able to provide technical direction for corrective action solutions
    • Pro Engineering (Pro E) and or Unigraphics NX
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
    • Must be able to work in office, shop, test lab and test site environments
    • Must be able to work overtime if required

    Education and Experience

    • BS in Mechanical Engineering with 6-9 years of applicable experience fewer years with an advanced degree
