    Advanced Material Handling Associate 2

     (US Citizenship Required*)

    Huntsville, AL

    Responsibilities

    • Communicate material control issues to department as needed
    • Identify material shortages and support problem solving resolution
    • Actively develops continuous improvement strategies
    • Assist training and mentoring and participate in team building
    • May act as a team lead for group activities, cross-functional or Supply Chain communication or customer inquiries
    • Set & work toward team & schedule goals; may prioritize work for team members as job requires
    • Perform specialized project tasks & assignments of a more complex nature
    • May handle and process classified material or oversee storage of Customer Property
    • May analyze and act on data related to production rates data, review stock records, and prepare purchase orders to determine stock status against production requirements

    Qualifications

    • Required – Able to obtain Secret clearance. Secret clearance is preferred.
    • Possess necessary computer skills to locate and manage all required data and may prepare metrics
    • Possess a basic understanding of configuration management tools as job requires
    • Solid knowledge of material planning, control and inventory methodology and applies it to a wide range of tasks
    • Solid knowledge of Government Customer Property Control
    • Able to track, expedite, and pick material shortages to the manufacturing floor
    • Able to complete work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognize the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice

    *US Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

     

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 4 years of related experience.

     

    Conditions of Employment:
