    Senior Material Handler

    (US Citizenship Required*)

    Bloomington, MN

    Join our team as a Material Handler to stock, cycle count, verify data, and pick & issue material from various material crib locations to manufacturing production floors.

    Responsibilities

    • Pick and package small electronic components & hardware material for delivery to manufacturing production floor
    • Stock material using a random stocking process
    • Count material by hand, electronic scale, and/or tape and reel counter
    • Possess necessary computer skills to proficiently handle routine tasks
    • Communicate clearly with coworkers, planners, material managers, and internal customers
    • Identify material shortages and support problem solving resolution
    • Help set and work toward team goals
    • Coordinate and prioritize individual daily activities; supports continuous improvement activities
    • Actively participate in meetings
    • Complete tasks with accuracy, high quality, and timeliness.
    • 2nd shift position.

    Qualifications

    • Required – willing to work over 40 hours per week, as needed, and be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time
    • Clear knowledge of material planning, control and inventory methodology
    • Clear organizational, collaboration, customer service, and communication skills, verbal or written
    • Clear knowledge of the enterprise software and associated data
    • Adaptable, flexbile
    • Able to recognize and meet schedule priorities
    • Clear knowledge of Government / Customer Property Control
    • Able to track, expedite, and pick material shortages to the manufacturing floor
    • Able to recognize the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice
    • Able to work with minimal supervision
    • Able to follow established procedures on routine work, only requiring specific instructions on new assignments
    • Must have experience with computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks
    • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
    • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately
    • Must be able to perform in a dynamic high paced manufacturing environment and manage changing priorities as assigned by manufacturing lead.

    *US Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

     

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience.

     

     

    Conditions of Employment:
