    Manufacturing Planner 5

    Responsibilities

    • Plan and lead teams that support implementation of strategic business initiatives and manufacturing and tooling enhancements.
    • Analyze new technologies, concepts and processes that simplify and improve manufacturing processes.
    • Support benchmarking of industry to determine best practices.
    • Lead integration of major, complex suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
    • Participate in source selection to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
    • Develop unique and innovative tooling requirements in alignment with strategic initiatives.
    • Establish processes for managing tooling from initial design to end of use disposition.
    • Lead investigations of critical manufacturing related issues.
    • Develop and implement solutions involving a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
    • Support benchmarking of advanced applications and methodologies to support producibility improvements.
    • Research and develop unique and innovative manufacturing concepts.
    • Influence design to ensure efficient manufacturing and optimum value.
    • Present business case/trade study recommendations to leadership for review.
    • Lead development of complex work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
    • Perform high level analysis of schedule and work statement processes to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks.
    • Research, develop, and implement of new manufacturing processes to support long-range goals and strategic initiatives.
    • Work under consultative direction.

    Qualifications

    *U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

    Education and Experience

    • AA degree in related discipline and typically 9 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
