    We are currently searching for the right talent to fill this opportunity:

     

    Equipment & Tool Engineer 3

     (U.S. Citizenship Required*)

    North Charleston, SC

    Responsibilities

    • Evaluate program and project requirements, develop complex equipment and tooling concepts, and design solutions for the Production System.
    • Compile and analyze technical data to determine effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, identify robotics, automation or technology recommendations and system integration for equipment and tooling.
    • Assist developing multiple tool and equipment concepts utilizing alternative resources to rapid prototyping tooling solutions.
    • Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
    • Validate contractual performance milestones, maintain configuration control, conduct reviews, prepare plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
    • Conduct training for Production and Maintenance personnel.
    • Develop and implement work-arounds and maintain configuration of hardware, software and documentation.
    • Perform studies and make recommendation for disposition of assets.
    • Participate in tool/equipment try-outs to ensure requirements.
    • Investigate design-engineering changes to maintain engineering configuration and initiates action.
    • Work under general direction.
    • 1st and 2nd shift position

    Qualifications

    • Candidate must be able to support all shifts.

    *U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience.
    • Degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
