    Aircraft Mechanic - F-15E

    (Secret Clearance Required)

    Seymour Johnson AFB, NC

    2018-7271

     

    This position is designated to support the F-15E Radar Modernization Program (RMP).

     

    Responsibilities

    • Knowledge of general aircraft systems and subsystems within the F-15E aircraft.
    • Required to assemble, disassemble, and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
    • Oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
    • Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
    • Troubleshoot complex hydraulic, pneudraulic, and air systems to isolate mechanical faults and repair faulty components.
    • Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
    • Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
    • Oversees training and work under general direction.

    Qualifications

    • Active Secret Clearance Required
    • Must have skills specific to general aircraft maintenance and operations to include inspection, servicing, modifying, and replacing mechanical and pressurized components.
    • Require knowledge and experience with operational checks to include application of external power, system checks, and towing, parking, and mooring.
    • Technician will be required to perform validation/verification testing of systems and components via functional operations checks.
    • Skilled in supporting general aircraft systems and subsystems within the F-15E aircraft.

    *U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

    Education and Experience

    • High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
