    P-3 APG Mechanic

    (U.S. Citizenship Required*)

    Greenville, SC

    Responsibilities

    • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul and modify aircraft systems and powerplants according to established written procedures, specifications, and standards.
    • Mission essential functions and other duties may be assigned as required.

    Qualifications

    • Required – P-3 Airframe Experience
    • Bring own shadowed toolbox with etched tools per minimum inventory and specifications as detailed by the company
    • Knowledgeable in aircraft systems operation and maintenance to include landing gear, powerplants, flight controls, disassembly, reassembly, rigging and aircraft movement.
    • Able to read and speak English. Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
    • Can handle repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms.
    • Can stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft.
    • Can occasionally sit, climb, and balance.
    • Can frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds.
    • Has the following vision abilities: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • Can wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed to perform job tasks.
    • Can handle regular exposure to vibration, as well as frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles.
    • Can properly use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures.
    • Can handle occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.
    • Can work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.

    Preferred:

    • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant License

    *U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

     

    Education and Experience

    • High school diploma and the above mentioned experience

     

    Conditions of Employment:
