    Responsibilities

    • Plan, execute, and issue reports for Spirent simulations specific to company implementation of launch vehicle GPS blended navigation.
    • Includes authoring test procedures, running the tests on the Spirent system, consulting with the appropriate CREs when necessary, and documenting test results.
    • Systems used: Spirent, ADMS Telemetry System, Excalibur 1553 bus analyzer

    Qualifications

    • Experience with launch vehicles / missile GPS navigation. Automotive background not applicable for this role.
    • Required – 1553 communication protocol is mandatory; understands the communication protocols and can look at messages and troubleshoot where/if needed independently
    • Experience/skill with Excalibur; similar tools acceptable.
    • Familiar with working in a lab environment.
    • Experience with high dynamic applications.
    • Knowledge of GPS and INU (Inertial Navigation Unit) systems in high dynamic applications such as launch vehicles or other equivalent aerospace systems
    • Able to conduct Spirent simulations
    • Able to operate independently in a lab environment with a proficiency working with test equipment
    • Experience using a 1553 bus analyzer

    Preferred:

    • Familiarity with generating company procedure and reports
    • Knowledge of company ADMS Telemetry System
    • Experience using the Excalibur 1553 bus analyzer or equivalent

    *U.S. Citizenship or Green Card is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

     

    Education and Experience

    • BSEE or equivalent degree, or equivalent experience (all the listed qualifications and years of experience)
    • 5 years’ experience with GPS and INU systems in high dynamic applications
    • 1 year’s experience running simulations on Spirent
