    Citrix System Administrator

    (US Citizenship Required*)

    Raleigh, NC; Scottsdale, AZ; Orlando, FL; OR Fairfax, VA



    • Administer and manage a Citrix farm consisting of XenApp, XenDesktop and all associated servers.
    • Manage related user group policy objects (GPOs), and deploy Citrix patches and updates
    • Monitor systems and implement required configurations to ensure availability, reliability, adherence to security standards, and optimal system performance
    • Plan, design, and implement necessary configurations to ensure compliance with back-up and disaster recovery policies and procedures for Citrix systems
    • Develop required documentation for system configuration, and support procedures
    • Develop and maintain Citrix related standards, policies, and procedures
    • Performs administration of virtual desktops using Citrix tools
    • Performs periodic patching of servers based on approved patch sets
    • Performs data isolation and destruction in the event that sensitive data is allowed outside of its proper enclave (data spill)
    • Provide end-user support
    • Research and troubleshoot complex technical issues and communicate status to stakeholders
    • Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems
    • Serve as a front line interface to users with technical issues
    • Remote position


    • Required – successfully pass a credit check.
    • Solid understanding of Citrix solutions
    • Experience working in VMWARE technology and environments
    • Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with non-technical and technical audiences
    • Able to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of individuals including technical and non-technical staff, and IT leadership
    • Able to work individually or collaboratively as part of a high-performance work team
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Able to write policies, procedures, and create system documentation
    • Strong troubleshooting skills within the Windows OS as well as both networking and storage technologies
    • Resolve a diverse range of complex problems
    • Uses judgment within defined policies and practices
    • Works under limited direction
    • Determines and develops approach to solutions
    • Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met
    • Contributes to the development of organization's goals and objectives


    • Experience installing and configuring Citrix 6.5 and higher, experience with MCS technologies


    *US Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.


    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.
