    Supplier Quality Regional Specialist

    (U.S. Citizenship Required*)

    Sterling Heights, MI



    • Schedule, assign and direct Supplier Quality field personnel to:
    • Conduct audits and capability studies
    • Assure an appropriate level of supplier system qualifications is maintained
    • Assure product conforms to contractual requirements in the purchase order
    • Substantiate reported non-conformances and appropriate resolution
    • Review and understand engineering drawings, specifications, standards, QARs/QAPs, and contractual requirements
    • Maintain a high level of proficiency with subordinate field personnel
    • Take the lead in resolving all matters involving the quality of purchased material including investigations, course of action, and resolution (RCCA)
    • Interface between Buyer, Supplier, Customer, and Plants
    • About 50% travel time


    • Must be able to travel extensively both domestically & internationally
    • Must be able to work in both office and manufacturing plant environment
    • Able to train Field Personnel and Supplier Personnel in the matters affecting Supplier Quality
    • Personal computer skills in Excel, Word, and Power Point required
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Able to lead projects and quality initiatives
    • Flexible hours required (evenings, overtime, overnight, weekends)
    • Familiar with GD&T and Models

    Education and Experience

    • BS in technical discipline or equivalent experience with 10+ years of applicable experience.
    • Fewer years will be considered with an advanced degree
