    Weapons Software Engineer

    (U.S. Citizenship Required*)

    St. Louis, MO



    • Work with a multi-discipline engineering team to design, develop, and deploy operational flight software on weapon systems.
    • Work in all phases of the software development lifecycle to implement real-time embedded software applications for guidance and navigation, seeker control, or mission management.
    • Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
    • Develop and maintain code and integrate software components into a fully functional software system
    • Develop software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
    • Perform software project management and software supplier management functions
    • Develop, select, tailor and deploys processes, tools, and metrics
    • Execute and document software research and development projects
    • Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations
    • Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards
    • Work under general direction


    • 5+ years of experience in developing software on a Windows or Linux platform
    • 5+ years of experience with C++ or Ada
    • 3+ years of experience with real-time embedded applications
    • 3+ years of experience with Visual Studio, git, JIRA, Green Hills AdaMULTI, ClearCase and/or ClearQuest
    • Previous role that utilized Boeing's set of standard engineering processes (EOSSP)

    *U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.


    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's and 5+ years' experience, Master's degree with 3+ years' experience or PhD degree with experience
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering classification (engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry)
    • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
